What They Never Told You...

Hello everyone,

This week has been eventful for the Minecraft community, with significant updates, announcements, and even some controversial news. Here’s a recap of everything that happened:

The Garden Awakens Drop

On Tuesday, the Garden Awakens drop was released, featuring the Pale Garden biome, creaking trees, and new resin items. This update has been met with excitement and is a welcome addition to the game.

Bedrock Preview Update

Wednesday brought a new Bedrock Preview release. This update allows PlayStation players to test the deferred technical preview. Unfortunately, there is currently no official way to download shaders to test this feature. However, a user on X (formerly Twitter) named CrunchyCookie shared a realm code with shaders enabled: 9awYsqKKc-G_shA, for those who are interested.

Minecraft Monthly & Live Event Announcement

On Tuesday, many were expecting news about the next Game Drop, but instead, the update was released without any announcements. However, Wednesday’s Minecraft Monthly episode made up for it with exciting reveals, including:

  • A new Live Event launching next week.

  • The Avatar DLC.

  • Other smaller updates.

While there was no mention of the upcoming game drop, the live event may include additional announcements, so stay tuned!

Upcoming UI Rollout & Discord Quest

Next week, Mojang will begin rolling out the updated UI. While they haven’t specified which page will be updated, it’s speculated to be the Servers page. Additionally, a new Discord quest is live—play Minecraft for 15 minutes to unlock the exclusive Skull Cloak.

Another noteworthy update: the Editor Mode is now available in the Minecraft Launcher as a separate option from the preview.

Controversial Lawsuit Against Mojang

Three days ago, YouTuber Kian Brose announced his intention to sue Mojang. He claims Mojang unfairly shut down a project he created at age 12 due to EULA changes prohibiting adult content in Minecraft. Brose alleges Mojang also violated a law when they released an update to obscure a later EULA change.

While Brose is gathering support for his lawsuit, it’s unclear if his claims will hold up in court. If successful, this case could have significant implications for Mojang and Minecraft. Regardless, the situation has generated a lot of discussion within the community.

New Add-Ons

This week also saw some exciting new add-ons, many inspired by the Garden Awakens drop. Notable mentions include:

  • Ghost Pets Addon by AriaCreations.

  • Majestic Camping by CaptainSparklez.

  • Phantom Frames by The Hive.
